BoltShare is a peer-to-peer file sharing application. This means that your files are transferred directly from your browser to the recipient's browser using WebRTC technology. We do not store, process, or have any access to the files you share.
We use basic analytics (like Google Analytics) to understand how many people visit our site. This collects anonymous, aggregated data such as page views and browser types. We do not collect personally identifiable information.
In order to establish a direct peer-to-peer connection, WebRTC requires the exchange of IP addresses between peers. This is a fundamental requirement of the internet protocol and WebRTC. Your IP address is only shared with the specific peer you are connecting to via the sharing link.
